The SHAPE Matte Box is a versatile and robust tool for filmmakers, featuring a unique combination of a silicone matte box mounted on a CNC aluminum main frame. This design ensures both durability and flexibility, with the matte box accommodating lenses with an outer diameter of up to 124 mm. This wide diameter makes it suitable for a broad range of wide-angle lenses, providing an expansive field of view essential for various shooting scenarios.
The matte box includes two 4×5.6 filter trays, one of which is rotary, allowing for dynamic filter effects. These trays are equipped with easy-access handles, enabling quick and effortless one-handed filter changes, a crucial feature in fast-paced shooting environments. Additionally, 4×4 filters can also be accommodated in these trays, adding to the matte box’s versatility. A thoughtful design feature includes two stops at the bottom of the filter trays section, which serve to prevent filters from accidentally slipping through during adjustments or movements.
