The D-Box™ (Sony Venice, Venice 2, V-Mount) is a specialized version of the D-Box™, designed to enhance the Sony Venice and Venice 2 cameras with advanced power distribution, standardized remote start/stop, and hot swap capabilities. The main unit of the D-Box™ attaches to the AXS-R7’s back or the camera’s V-Mount plate, while the Power Strip section mounts on the camera’s top right side using a 3pin Fischer and the tape hook threaded hole.
The D-Box™ Power Strip’s connectors are shaped to match the camera’s profile and connector angle, ensuring seamless cable installation without interference. This module integrates with the camera, allowing any ARRI standard start/stop trigger to be used via the 3pin Fischer port, including devices like the ARRI UMC-4 / WCU-4. Its DC input, compatible with the camera’s 4pin XLR connector, allows connection to an AC power supply, external power plate, or VCLX block battery, powering both accessories and the camera during battery swaps. When using both battery and DC input, the D-Box™ prioritizes the DC input, keeping the onboard battery fully charged.
